The College Of Veterinary Science, Tirupati was started on 15th July 1955 at Bapatla under the administrative control of the Department of Animal Husbandry under affiliation to Andhra University with an intake of 48 students. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri B. Gopala Reddy. The first three batches of students were admitted at Bapatla during 1955 – 1957 and the college was shifted from Bapatla to Tirupati in December 1957 and was brought to the control of APAU (now ANGRAU). The internship program for Veterinary Students was introduced in 1973-74 in collaboration with A.P. Animal Husbandry Dept. for strengthening the clinical experience of final-year students. The students are paid a stipend of Rs.7000/- per month for BVSc, Rs.9000/- per month for MVSc, and Rs.10000/- per month for Ph.D. during Internship.

The institution has well-qualified dynamic and dedicated teaching faculty. It has a Well-furnished college building with sufficient lecture halls and audio-visual aids, well-equipped laboratories, a separate hostel facility for boys and girls students, a separate gymnasium for boys and girls, a playground for different sports activities, a well-furnished library with Text books reference books, periodicals, and newspapers, etc.

1 ) Veterinary Council of India (VCI) - Open to all (15%)

The  Veterinary Council of India (VCI) conducts Counseling for allotment of B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats to the NEET UG eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Veterinary Colleges of the country. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by National TestingAgency (NTA) including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The  Veterinary Council of India will use the merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)-2022 (NEET (UG)-2022) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for filling up 15% of seats in the recognized Veterinary Colleges under the All India Quota. Other criteria of selection and admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree course shall be as per Veterinary Council of India - MSVE, Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations, 2016.

RESERVATION OF SEATS  (15% Quota 

  • 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates
  • 7.5% of seats are reserved for ST candidates
  • 10% of seats are reserved for EWS candidates
  • 27% of seats are reserved for OBC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer)
  • 5% seats in each category are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates as defined in physical disability in the MSVE -Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations, 2016 on a horizontal basis.

Counseling for Allotment of 15% VCI Seats

The online counseling for allotment of 15% VCI seats for the academic year 2022-23 will be held in four stages [ Round -1, Round -2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Round]. The counseling will be done based on NEET (UG) 2022-23 ranking and through the VCI Counseling portal. All banking-related matters will be dealt  by the Bank of Baroda. The seat will be allotted in the colleges based on the availability of seats, his/her NEET Rank, and the choice exercised by the candidates subject to fulfillment of other criteria viz. nationality, age, essential qualification, etc. as laid down in this Information Bulletin. 2) Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) - State Domicile - 85%

The  Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) conducts Counseling for the allotment of 85% of  B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats. The allotment is done based on Merit in A.P. EAPCET  2023 duly following Presidential Order & Rule of the reservation manual counseling will be done. No online web options or online counseling will be done. Only manual counseling will be done. 

Reservation of Seats: 

1. Backward Classes: 29% of seats are reserved under this category. (BC-A – 7% ; BC-B – 10% ; BC-C – 1% ; BC-D – 7% ; BC-E – 4%) 

2. Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% 

3. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 6% 

4. Other Reservations (Special Categories): 

  • Defence Personnel (CAP) … 2%
  • National Cadet Corps. (NCC) … 1%
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (Differently abled) … 3%
  • Games & Sports … 0.5%

Note: The counseling/verification under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & Sports) will be held in the presence of the authorities concerned and seats will be allotted as per the priorities indicated by the officers concerned. 

5. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10% (supernumerary seats) 

6. Reservation of seats for Women: 33⅓ % of the seats shall be reserved in favor of women candidates from each category. 

7. Reservation of seats for the candidates coming from families of Agriculturist cum Rural Area (Farmers’ Quota):  Twenty-five percent (25%) of the seats in the SVVU are reserved for candidates coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than 1 (one) acre of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidates and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas. If the land is owned by a grandfather, grandmother, or guardian or any other relationship is not acceptable. 

Online Registration

Registration: The applicant must click on the link provided on the University website https://www.svvu.edu.in/ for registration which will be redirected to the APTonline website.

Login:

  • No separate login is required for the candidates as the Registered Mobile number and Hall Ticket would be authenticated for all services such as Registration, Grievance requests, print payment receipt, etc.
  • Applicants must complete their registration by verifying their data populated in the application form and making payment.
  • The candidates are informed to mention their personal mobile numbers but not the mobile numbers of relatives, friends, net/online/Xerox centers, etc. during online registration.
  • Candidates are required to read the Information Brochure thoroughly.

Registration Fee: The candidates must pay an online registration fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) for General Candidates and Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) in case of SC, ST & Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (Differently abled) candidates at the time of uploading online application before last date. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Manual Counselling

Candidates are advised to keep visiting the svvu.edu.in website and check their e-mail/SMS regularly for the latest updates and for a schedule of Manual counseling. No online web options or online counseling will be done. Only manual counseling will be done. 

Allotment of seats during the manual counseling process: Based on Merit in A.P. EAPCET  2023 duly following Presidential Order & Rule of the reservation manual counseling will be done. The schedule for manual counseling will be notified later on the university website svvu.edu.in.

Original certificate to be submitted: 

If the candidates are granted admission, should submit the following certificates in Original at the time of admission

  1. Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination (Intermediate)
  2. Hall Ticket & Rank Card of A.P. EAPCET 2022
  3. SSC or its equivalent examination Certificate
  4. The Community Certificate for candidates belonging to Backward Classes/ Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes, signed by the competent authority / Latest EWS certificate for the year 2022-23 & older certificates will summarily be rejected.
  5. Bonafide Study certificates (6th class to Intermediate or its equivalent)
  6. Residence Certificate, if necessary
  7. Transfer Certificate from the College or School where the candidate last studied
  8. Form I and Form II, with evidence of land owned: Adangal/ 1B (or) Copy of Original Pattadar Passbook
  9. In the case of candidates under Special Categories (CAP / NCC / PH / Sports & Games) the original certificates are issued by the competent authorities.
