College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Rewa came into existence on 11th January 2007 to strengthen the economy of the Baghelkhand region through animal husbandry. The sprawling campus with lush green pasture is spread over 167 acres of land, which is about 5 Km away from the heart of the Rewa city on the Rewa-Shahdol high-road. The College offers B.V.Sc. &A.H. degree as per the norms of the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Beginning with the undergraduate degree programme (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from the session 2007-08, the college has now progressed a lot to start Master's (M.V.Sc.) and doctoral degree programmes (PhD) in different disciplines of Veterinary Science. The University sanctioned permission to start M.V.Sc and doctoral degree programmes (PhD) in the academic year 2016-2017 and 2018-2019, respectively. At present, the college has well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, a computer laboratory, a library, separate hostels for boys and girls, a sports ground, gym and indoor game facilities and a sufficient number of staff for offering courses in UG, PG and PhD.

1 ) Veterinary Council of India (VCI) - Open to all (15%)

The  Veterinary Council of India (VCI) conducts Counseling for allotment of B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats to the NEET UG eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Veterinary Colleges of the country. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by National TestingAgency (NTA) including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The  Veterinary Council of India will use the merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)-2022 (NEET (UG)-2022) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for filling up 15% of seats in the recognized Veterinary Colleges under the All India Quota. Other criteria of selection and admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree course shall be as per Veterinary Council of India - MSVE, Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations, 2016.

RESERVATION OF SEATS  (15% Quota 

  • 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates
  • 7.5% of seats are reserved for ST candidates
  • 10% of seats are reserved for EWS candidates
  • 27% of seats are reserved for OBC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer)
  • 5% seats in each category are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates as defined in physical disability in the MSVE -Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations, 2016 on a horizontal basis.

Counseling for Allotment of 15% VCI Seats

The online counseling for allotment of 15% VCI seats for the academic year 2022-23 will be held in four stages [ Round -1, Round -2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Round]. The counseling will be done based on NEET (UG) 

2022-23 ranking and through the VCI Counseling portal. All banking-related matters will be dealt  by the Bank of Baroda. The seat will be allotted in the colleges based on the availability of seats, his/her NEET Rank, and the choice exercised by the candidates subject to fulfillment of other criteria viz. nationality, age, essential qualification, etc. as laid down in this Information Bulletin. 2) Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University- State Domicile - 85%

The  Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University conducts Counseling for the allotment of 85% of  B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats. The selection of students for the B.V.Sc. & A .H. degree course shall be done on the basis of merit of the candidate(s) obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh, Professional Examination Board, Bhopal / Veterinary Council of India, or as laid down by the Academic Council of this University from time to time. The selection of students for admission under the Non- Resident Indian (NRI) quota will be on the basis of merit of aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology obtained in 12111 or equivalent examination abroad or as laid down by the Academic Council of the University from time to time.

Admissions of new entrants/students

  • New entrants must report in person to the Dean of the concerned College to which they have been selected for admission on the date of admission prescribed by the university for the purpose of registration. The new entrants, who fail to report for registration in person on the Prescribed date, Their admission shall stand canceled. Registration for the course at the college will be allowed in person. No registration in absentia shall be permitted. The payment of full fees at the concerned college on the day of admission is compulsory. In case of non-payment of full fees on the day of admission, the admission stands canceled.
  • The new entrants selected for admission to a course of B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree of the University shall become enrolled only on completion of all the formalities prescribed by the university from time to time.
  • An identity card shall be issued to each enrolled student which should be carried by them at all times and be shown whenever required. The student should always quote the l.D. Number while making correspondence with College / University. The identity card should be renewed every year. In case of loss, a duplicate identity card will be issued from the college office on payment of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) only.

Registrations of continuing students.

  • Students on the roll of the University must report in person on the scheduled date of registration to the concerned Dean of the College and pay the required fees prescribed for an academic year and register for the courses. No registration shall be allowed in absentia. Late payment of fees and registration of courses shall be permitted by the Dean of the college up to six working days from the prescribed date of registration. Late registration fees shall be Rs. 100/- for each subsequent day. However, the Dean of the Faculty may permit late registration up to four more working days from the prescribed date of registration.
  • No attendance benefit for late registration shall be allowed. Late registration shall be at the risk and responsibility of the student(s) to maintain the required attendance as per the relevant clauses under these regulations.

Admission Rules for NRI Category

  • Candidates for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. courses under the NRI quota should carefully read the rules for admission before submitting the application form. Incorrect/false information may lead to cancellation of admission and the candidate will be liable to face legal action.
  • The eligibility for admission under the NRI Quota seats will be the NRI candidate himself/herself or the children of the NRI. Sponsorship from NRI relatives other than Father/Mother will not be considered.
  • The prescribed form may be downloaded from www.ndvsu.org and be submitted with a fee of 150 US dollars by Demand Draft drawn in favor of NDVSU- Jabalpur payable at Jabalpur, M.P., India.
  • The duly completed application form in all respect along with all necessary documents/ testimonials with a fee of 150 US dollars by Demand Draft must reach the Dean Faculty, Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Administrative Building, Adhartal, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh-482004 (India) on or before the prescribed last date.
  • The candidate must write on the envelope “Application form for admission under NRI quota 2022-23.’’
  • No application form for admission will be considered unless it is accompanied by self-attested copies of the documents/ testimonials.
  • No changes will be entertained once the application has been submitted.
  • The candidate must have attained 17 years of age on 31st December 2022
  • The candidate must have passed the 12th class (or equivalent examination abroad) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in aggregate.
  • The schedule and venue for counseling will be published in newspapers and will be uploaded to the University website. The personal presence of the candidate along with original documents/ testimonials on the day of counseling is compulsory, else he/she will not be considered for admission.
  • Admission fees to be deposited at the time of admission:
    US dollars 9000 per year in the form of a demand draft drawn in favor of “NDVSU- Jabalpur” payable at Jabalpur, M.P., India (cash will not be accepted). In addition, Indian Rupees 33860/- in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of “NDVSU- Jabalpur” payable at Jabalpur, M.P., India or cash have to be deposited at the time of admission.
    In any case, fees once deposited will not be refunded except the caution money.

  • The admission will be done on the basis of the merit list of the candidates prepared based on an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology marks obtained in the 12th class.
  • The criteria for deciding merit order in case of students having equal merit shall be in the following sequence, namely:-
    • The candidate who has obtained higher marks in the subject of Biology in the 12th class.
    • Higher Marks obtained in 12th class.
    • Date of birth (Candidate who is elder in age shall be given priority).
  • Attested copies of the following documents are to be submitted by the candidate in duplicate along with the application form, otherwise, the application will be rejected.
    • NRI Certificate (Annexure– I) duly authenticated from the Indian Embassy/High Commission of the country concerned.
    • Proof of date of birth 10th or 12th class Marksheet / Certificate or related document from Competent Authority showing date of birth (candidate must have attained 17 years of age on 31st December 2020).
    • 12th class Marksheet (candidate must have obtained 50% marks in science subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in aggregate).
    • Passport and Visa of the NRI candidate himself/herself or parent (father/mother).
    • Recent bank account update of the NRI in the residing country (up to June 2022).
    • Employer’s certificate (if applicable).
  • The applicant shall have to produce the original testimonials/documents at the time of counseling. If during scrutiny or any time thereafter any discrepancy or incorrectness is noticed, the admission is liable to be canceled forthwith. The candidate could be expelled and legal action would be initiated against him.
  • If the NRI seats remain vacant after the last date of application, then the vacant NRI seats will be filled by the candidates from the merit list of All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) 2022 of Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi for B.V.Sc & A.H. degree course and Pre Fisheries Test (PFT) 2022 of M.P. Professional Examination Board, Bhopal for B.F.Sc degree course.
  • The University reserves the right to insert any new rule or to edit/modify/delete any rule to meet the exigencies of the situation at any time.
  • Interpretation: In the implementation of the provisions of these rules, if any difficulty or question arises as to the interpretation of any provision, the decision of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh shall be final.
